San Antonio Face-Lift
Part One: A Time Of Woe

A decade ago the town of San Antonio underwent a massive face-lift where old buildings were pulled down and new ideas were put in place. The town’s streets were changed with a different one-way traffic system installed and down on the seafront over twenty-five metres of land was reclaimed from the sea to make way for a new promenade and finally at a huge expense a multitude of palm trees were planted.

Therefore, I thought it might be a good idea and hopefully interesting for some folk out there to be able to look back at what the town was like before, during and after this extensive face-lift by showing a photographic journal of ten pictures a week from the selection that I captured over the period of time it took to complete this face-lift of San Antonio.

These initial ten pictures may not appeal to some people because the whole town looks like a huge building site, which in fact is was, but as we progress week by week you’ll be able to see the new from the old take shape which eventually will become the new-fangled San Antonio.
